I thought I had changed the text next to the picture (looks like in my profile) but it still just says "Hey," so I must be doing something wrong...

Edit: well I changed some other text instead!  LOL, directions, please?

Which direction do you need? Straight ahead is the war room of the Atlantis invasion. Upstairs you'll find the arsenal with the Phaser guns. Ratmen can be found in the cellars beside the secret german bunker and the guests from Darkest Africa have built their huts in the garden

Odd, my pic in this thread does say what I wanted but the picture in the left hand column beside the postings still says "Hey," which I can live with as long as the one in the threads says what I wanted.   

We poor Luddites    are so challenged by technology and Black Box Magic...

 , as long as it works I guess it doesn't matter if I know how it works.

What you are editing is the info that appears at the side of your posts and when someone looks at your profile. The thing at the left of your screen where it says "Hey" is not editable, it is merely a list of statistics and some quick links to unread posts, Personal Messages and so on.

Your custom text has appeared where it is supposed to, under your avatar on all of your posts. All is well.
