Damsel in distress, her saviour and a foul beast

Well, had a bit of a sit down at the painting table today and finished Ramshackle Games lovely Trixie:

I still have to add a bit of static grass and such to the base. It was rather overcast and threatening rain* when I took the pictures, so sadly the light's a bit off.
Absolutely lovely figure to paint.
*felines and canines are plummeting as I type...

As you can see from her expression, she's a bit, erm, displeased with being strapped to rock in her chemise, what with the rain and all...
Luckily, last week I finished a gallant chevalier to save her:

I've made both a foot and mounted version of him, as he is intended for small-scale skirmishes: A Knight and his retinue vs various perils/competitors. All in the mood of the Chansons de Geste and Quests and such. I'd like to show more views of him, but it'll have to wait for better light...
Luckily my other knights are either Bretonnians or on unbarded horses, I found painting the large expanses of metal rather monotonous.

And if you think that salvaging soggy lasses is a walk in the park, guess again:

Wow - lovely paint jobs - Not to lower the tone but I think your damsel would do rather well in a wet T shirt contest - great effect!

Hehe, Thantsanst, thanks! It was sort of the effect I was going for. The poor damsel, disgraced in her underclothes, wet and miserable from the rain/waterfall/monster's drool. In the most miserable episode of her life, just waiting and hoping for some brave soul to save her.. And it apparently motivates the Knights quite a bit as wel... 
Mind you, it took me hours of paintstaking research and looking at "source material" to understand and duplicate the effect. 

The chevalier is made from parts of the GW Empire Knights and a Empire infantry command sprue. The infantry command sprue is from the previous edition, I'm afraid it's no longer available. All I really used from it are a pair of armoured legs and the articulated tassets, though. You could get probably get similar parts from other kits.

The dino is an old Jurassic park toy, that I repainted.

I especially like your knight.
Playing skirmish fantasy myself, I find it hard to get the same mini in both a mounted and on foot version.

I've found it's pretty hard to find matching mounted and foot models. It seems most historical miniatures companies don't cater to this sort of skirmishing. It's making it rather hard to find suitable mounted/dismounted squires and sergeants for the knights...
I count myself lucky to have chanced on a few matching mounted/dismounted models.
I have a duo of OOP metal bretonnian knights mounted and foot with matching crest (This one), the old Don Quixote-esque Mordheim Freelance Knight and another metal Empire knight.
So the collection heroes is a bit GW-centred...
On the knightly side at least.
