Hi,

this one of two games I played last wekk on this table with these armies. Both games were samehow playtesting for a szenario to play at a con this autumn.

The US army attacked a rivervrossing with 10 Shermans 2 Plattons of aroured Rifles, supported by some armored mortars, M8scotts and M7priest.

The german defenders hold a bridge and a ford to prevend the allies to cross the river. The defending forces where 2 platoons grenadiers with some PzFausts, 2 Pak40 7.5 cm, 3 Hummels and 1 8,8 Flak 36 8,8 cm.

In the first game the attackers were battlehardend Vetreans like the defenders and reached the river with little casualities. The final assault over the bridge was successful after the defenders lost most of their anti-tank weapons and where supressed by pinning massive MG fire.

In the 2nd game I reduced the Experience level of the attackers to trained due to this easy success.
This ended in heavy losses to the Pak and 8,8, so none of the Us tanks made to the river... could also be the result of how the dice were rolled.
