When a resin mini is possessed by dark forces there are only a few options.

My resin FW Valkyrie has mocked me for too long and has now been broken down for scrap. Taking its Troop compartment as a base it will now find life as a heavy steam tank/tank/Leman Russ Counts ass. The wings and engines will be used to create a flyer of some description.

Valkyrie Troop compartment
Leman Russ tank tracks
Some balsa wood and some resin armour plates to be added.

Turret ring made by laminating plasti-card with components from a KV2 tank kit (which will be providing the turret).

Adding armour plates and what nots.

Starting to work on the turret and have added greenstuff rivets.

Now nicknamed 'Ducky'.

Great looking tank so far.

Using a KV2 turret is brilliant. It never occured to me to use one of those, but it is sooo perfet for your project.

I look forward to seeing more.

Thanks
Tom

A quick update, not much to show.

Just the turret with a rather forlorn looking Pen barrel gun.

Need to glue this in place and a few more bits and pieces, like turret hatches and extra brass!

Still figuring out the rear of the model. There is going to be a boiler somewhere. The same pen will be suppling the chimneys as well.

Looks great, but the barrel looks like it may be in need of a little blue pill...  :)

Boiler and chimney/exhaust being finished. I need to get more bits to finish.

Lovely job, looks great.

Looks like the cannon has risen a bit too!  ;)

:) It wasn't so much a blue pull as glue from a bluish bottle!

Fresh update.

Worked on the turret by adding a top hatch, some of the KV2 tank bits. GW LRBT  hand grabs and added a plasticard cannon to the front armour.

I was going to just plate up the turret but decided against it, enough is enough!

I'm not sure how its going to be painted yet. It has to be used in my 40k Imperial guard army as well...

Lack of luxury funds means that I have no primer to enable me to start painting this.  :'(
I may add a few extra bits but don't want to tinker too much. A rest on the shelf will do it some good!

Just don't eat for a few days, then you'll save enough cash to proceed ;)

Know what you mean about lack of funds, though. It's a real pain having projects bubbling away only to have them stall due to lack of cash to finish them.

I hope you are able get it finished soon  :D
