90% of OG is crap. But some ranges are really nice. Id stack their Landsknects up against anybody, but for the most part, their 25-28mm stuff is terrible. I use the 10mm alot. Now, their prices can't be beat. If they could find a good sculptor, mixed with their prices, they'd clean up.

While writing up some character background I realized that the Big Game hunter could be used to present good old Quatermain on the table.
I quick League of Extraordinary Gentlemen check revealed that both Quatermain and Mina Harker are alive in the Century comic.
What do you think, would it be cool to have gamestats for these two in Back of Beyond?

And are the names copyright protected? The League is, but what abot the original character names?
cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - https://www.adpublishing.de

Haggard's work is in the public domain, I believe Bram Stoker's is too.

But I woud be remiss as a Quatermain fan if I failed to point out that he died in 1885. But let's say for the sake of argument that this is not the case, he would celebrate his 100th birthday in 1917, making him a little old for adventuring in the 1920s.  :)

I have spanish swords from the same range, and they are not really nice - not as awful as several others.

In the comic background Quatermain and Mina find the Fountain of Eternal Youth. To keep this a secret they tell everyone that the now young Quatermain is his own nephew. So while he would indeed be in his 100s, he's looking damn good for his age. ;)

Unfortunately NO.  :'(
The sales numbers of our books so far are just not justifying the effort. :(

All the ones you have done so far have looked fantastic but not quite interesting enough for my personal taste. Coupled with the fact I am not a pdf fan I am yet to send any dosh your way.

This title however is much more interesting and I will get a copy however it comes but would so prefer a printed book.

Whats the minimum run you could have printed economically? Could you pre-sell it to cover costs? Is it worth starting a poll to canvass interest and opinion?

Whoahh! That from you? I was always under the impression that you REALLY disliked the Evolution system and my work. Thanks Svennn!

I put some serious thought into printing of my books. To make it economically sound in the quality I WANT it would require a run in the 4 digits. The problem is not to just to print it, a book like this should be printed in high quality and full color. Print on demand quality is easily done, in fact I could already participate on the PoD program of Wargames Vault, but would you really like to have this book in low quality b&w?
I doubt that.
I honestly do not see much reason to do it as dead tree product. As with all my books you will get a full color version and a printer friendly b&w version.
IMO best of both worlds, if you like it printed you can go to any copy shop, print in color and let it bind. If you go for a friendly battle with your buddies, just print the pages you need in low quality, make notes on it or whatever. I really like it this way. In addition the books readers are getting more and more widespread.

Agis, there are a lot of print shop available in the baltics who can offer you a very low price for good quality. I also know a good one in Poland that I got some contacts with.
PM me and i'll try to sort you out something.
Don't want this beautiful layout to be wasted on a pdf...

Honestly thanks for the offer, but let us start with the pdf, let us see how it goes and then we'll see...
