You have an interesting painting style, Graham. I like it. Cartoonish sounds pejorative so I'll call it bold.

May I add "vibrant" as a descriptive option. I don't think it would work on all kinds of figures, but on the ones seen so far, it's spot on.

@ Overlord, are the SWAT figures from Copplestone?
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

Thanks!  Cartoonish, bold, and vibrant all fit for me.  :)  It is a painting style that lends itself to fantasy figs - I honestly have no clue what I'd do if I tackled a WWII fig, but chances are it would look quite out of place.  This entry was my first real attempt at freehand checks (on the barding and the flag on the horn).  It took forever, but I'll be continuing to give it a go in the future.  Here's hoping some practice equates to speed!

Correct. They are FW1: Hostage Rescue Squad.  :)
