How many models for Where Heroes Dare?
« on: May 20, 2010, 11:55:00 AM »
I'll be receiving a copy of Where Heroes Dare for my Birthday in a few weeks. Now that I have lots of generic terrain to represent a temperate climate (i.e. roads, trees, water, buildings, ruins, etc...), it occurred to me that there probably wouldn't be much preparation involved in order to try out WHD.

I was wondering if anyone has ever played games with 4 to 6 models per side? If so, were they fun games? I know that Chaos in Carpathia works great with very low model counts, and if the same turns out to be true for WHD I'll likely pick up a few packs from Artizan or Copplestone.

P.S. Who else makes Pulpy figs in the UK? I realize I'm in Canada, but right now I can't resist the weak POUND (sorry my UK friends -  :( )

I try to buy Canadian whenever possible, and I love Pulp figures. That being said, the pound is so low right now that its very tempting to pick up some bargains. I see his point.

Bob Murch of Pulp Figures really supports the hobby and is a square shooter. So, sure, order some figs from England due to the low pound, but also send a few Cdn dollars to PF in Kelowna.
That being said, if England shopping I'd look at Heresyminiatures.com, if only because they carry amazing Doctor Who minis (although they don't call them DW, due to copyright).
Prof Challenger, I presume?

I have played WHD! with as little as 3 models (tooled up leads for about 500pts) and as much as 15 models for a 1000pts game. Bigger games are on the way with 20+ models ...

The rules worked very well in all games above !
