lonesome dove as a gaming source
« on: June 12, 2011, 06:34:21 PM »
I have finally got her indoors to watch the saga! I'm guessing it is best to start with Dead Man's walk as it is the first even though it was made last (?), is this th best way to procedd?

Personally I would forget the sequels/prequels and watch the original. None of them match up to it in my opinion. :?

The books...The books...particularly Lonesome Dove, are exceptional...IMHO, much superior to the films (which, in themselves, are well above average).

Yep! And I've watched em forward backwards and sideways. The others are good but the original is epic  8)

1/ Dead Man's Walk
2/ Comanche Moon
3/ Lonesome Dove
4/ Return to Lonesome Dove
5/ Streets of Laredo

Actually, I 'd watch them in order if had amnesia and could do it all again for the first time   8)

The first 3 are my favourites, don't really like Return and Streets of Laredo is OK but not great.

But then Trevor Dixon recons "Return" is the best so it's all down to personal preference  ;)

My box set doesn't have the second, is it good enough to buy?

Yeah! Buy it, Comanche Moon is the next best after Lonesome Dove, in my opinion.

But of course my opinion is the only one that matters to me  lol
