This is the first scenario from the GRW book a Fist full of Ghostrock, it takes place in Trouble:

Trouble is the latest in a line of towns to be disputed by the Rail Barons, in this case we played:
Iron Dragon: Yojimbo and three posses of Tongs
Black River: “Diamond” Lil Marcone and two posses of gunmen
Dixie Rails (though disguised on the board as Union Blue!):  “Lame” James McFeely and tow posses of CSA troopers

The scenario takes place at night so vision is limited to 12 inches. The setup was Black River and Dixie Rails in the town waiting for a meeting organised by Iron Dragon, though it was of course a trap! Although it was Iron Dragon’s trap it is a free for all game!

Set up: McFeely is waiting on his own in the corral, while Diamond Lil has her bodyguard on had!

Round one
Lame James gets it, but at the cost of the full actions of two entire posses! The it turns out McFeely had sent a decoy and the Dixie Rails burst from the building!

The Tongs make their slow advance and seem to be missing the fun!

Round two
The Drifter, an unnamed mercenary looking like a high class dame, makes her entrance in the same building as the Dixie boys! Let the slaughter commence! (The Drifter was under the control of Black River based on damage in round one). Seeing a common enemy Iron Dragon and Dixie Rails form a hasty alliance.

Yojimbo eats dirt twice but keeps going!

Diamond Lil takes to the air to get a better look, and casts Boom! Wiping out 4 Tongs!

Round three

Now soon had he given his word than McFeely breaks the deal and turns on the Tongs.

The Tongs clash with Diamond Lil’s gunman, absolutely mincing them in hand to hand!

McFeely soon regrets his choice as he goes down in hand to hand!

Round four

The fighting continues and McFeely is chopped to pieces while eating dirt.

The Tongs clash with Diamond Lil, scaling the building with Tonglike ease!

Round five
General scrapping

Diamond Lil casts Boom! The blast catches the Drifter, so in game terms she switches side to Dixie Rails.

Round six

Yojimbo gets beaten to death by a Dixie boy

Things are looking bad for Diamond Lil! She’s eating dirt.

Round seven

Hand to hand continues in the corral, the Tongs show their worth when up close and personal!

Not many remain standing! Diamond Lil eats dirt but survives!

End of game (based on the standard dice roll, perhaps cutting it a round too short)

Left standing
Black river: Diamond Lil and 3 gunmen
Iron Dragon: 3 Tongs
Dixie Rails: 3 CSA Troopers
The Drifter
These guys will go on to the next round (the following day at the Peace Conference - in real terms early July)

Bounty Points
Black River: 74
Dixie Rails: 121
Iron Dragon: 155 The WINNER!

Yay, deadlands, always have been interested in this game, but I haven’t gotten around to collecting minies or people for it. So its always nice to see game reports of it.

It is although all the PDF's are still available. You can usually pick up books in the US off ebay etc, postage makes them unreasonable usually for the UK. Or as Binmann said, you can switch to Showdowns which is the latest version. There is a campaign pack available for GRW already with many more planned.
So many projects..... so little time.......

Is the deadlands pack on the site, I see only drac and king kong (but they are good) or is it one to buy?

Yea, but that one aint free. so its on the sutdio 2 site and rpg now. I havent bought it yet so I cant say if its good or not. take into acount that its a single scenario about area 51, not a conversion of the entire game.

I may have to dust off my copy and give it a go!
