What´s your favourite WW1 airplane?

Mine is, without doubt, the beautiful Albatros D.V

British - Bristol Fighter F.2b
French - Nieuport 11 Bébé or Nieuport 17
German - probably Albatros D.V, although I also like the Roland C.II Walfisch and the Zeppelin Staaken

Can't pick one, must pick several. Sorry.

1) The Zeppelin-Killer. Nuff said.

2) Any of the pushers that ended the Fokker Scourge. This FE2 stands for all of them, the DH2, Gunbus, etc. Picked it because it must have taken some balls to stand on your seat to fire backwards when your kite is jinking around like bloody hell on a stick in the middle of a dogfight. And I just love their charming, flimsy Stop-the-Pigeon-ness.

3) The Taube. Just such a beautiful, inspiring, fragile work of art masquerading as an instrument of war.

The Albatros is a beauty, but I also like the Siemens Schuckert D.III and IV., small and aggressive. But my favourite is the Halberstadt Cl. II. Ground attack!
