New terrain features and buildings for old San Antone...
« on: May 03, 2010, 03:40:23 PM »
Thank goodness for wet bank holiday weekends (I have been saved from gardening chores) which has enabled me to finish another couple of buildings and photograph my latest terrain features. :)

I have added two new 2ft x 2ft  gaming boards including the San Antonio river with (removeable) bridge on one board and a ford on the other. These new boards have enlarged my table to 6ft x4ft which was needed to incorporate San Antonio De Bejar which has now grown with two new buildings. These include another thatched peasant jacale and small house with garden and stable to the rear.

Here are some shots showing the latest additions with some new trees, made with Hebe twigs from the garden and Woodland Scenics clump foliage. Figures are Boot Hill Miniatures painted by El Supremo Bugsda.

David Crockett and friends cross the bridge to engage some Mexican Presidiales guarding the road into San Antonio De Bejar.

Malamute,

Excellent buildings and scenery and the trees look impressive - unfortunatley the rain didn't stop me from laying a load of floor tiles this weekend  :? so no scenery making or mini painting for me.

Looks like I'll have to "do" some gardening as well - we have a very old Sage bush which is crying out to be made into scenery :).

Thanks for posting,

RMZ

(No, seriously, it looks spot on)

Now where did I put those hebe twigs you gave me...?  :D

I love the way you paint adobe, with the brownish staining at the bottom of the wall.  And living in El Paso, Texas, I have some knowledge of the topic.

How come Pedro could saw all the timber for his house in equal lengths but then not for his fence?  ;D ;D

Really nice as usual, are you sure you do not need many more 2x2's to accomodate the town yet?
