Wow...nice work! Like the river as well.

Me too! It make me want to drink a lot of water… or maybe it’s because of the really salty pizza that I just ate? lol

As always - the best adobe buildings by far. Absolutely stunning.  :-*

The trees are great - how does the Hebe twigs hold up to daring Zoro war-gaming?

What are your 2' by 2' boards made off - I've been contemplating similar pieces and considering chipboard as the base.

Thanks Frank.

The Hebe trees are quite fragile, so not the best materials to work with, but they do look good. :)

The boards are blue high density Polystyrene. I purchased them from Antenociti's Workshop. Not cheap at £6 per board.  (I couldn't be bothered to shop around on the net looking for the stuff any cheaper).

If u don't mind Nick, how thick are the sheets - 25mm?

Have u considered varying the surface of the boards a little here and there - just to break the level? I thought of this but have concerns my terrain pieces will no longer sit nice and flat!

So just to get this right the foam isn't mounted on anything? I think I'd damage them if they weren't.

Again u must have one beautiful looking town.  :)

I think the boards are 50mm thick.

On the two river boards I have varied the surface height, by gently using a blow torch to create some uneven areas and depressions. You can just see them in the first photos.

On the orginal four boards they are all flat, as they are going to be used just for town buildings.

And no they are not mounted on anything. so yes they are delicate. I do have perfect size boxes to store them in to protect them in transit etc

The blue foam is pretty tough. The corners will compress if hit but it won't really effect the board much. Unless you throw your boards around or stand on them, they'll be fine. That said, I like to strengthen the bottom by attaching self adhesive vinyl floor tiles. They can be picked up from £1 stores very easily as the pattern is irrelevant.
So many projects..... so little time.......

I'd like my own workshop, but I don't think Mrs M would be too happy with that, she wouldn't see me very often. ;)

Definitely don't want a wet summer, I need my sun fix and get my lily white legs tanned. lol

That settles it - all lily white LAFs to head for Australia immediately. Gives us a chance to meet u all, plus get a tan - two birds!

I really like the adhesive tile bit - might try that.

Here is the 4ft x 4ft at Christmas:

Now added 2 more tiles to create 6ft x 4ft with river running across them.

There are the two new houses to add plus the Spanish Governors Palce which is still a WIP.

I also have another house WIP and a another corral WIP.

I think perhaps I need to extend the boards even further now... lol

Everything is just excellent.  The creek is as good as I've ever seen done.  Love that multi-colored poncho on Cochese there too.
