Painted British Officers for BoB/CLA
« on: May 04, 2010, 07:55:01 AM »
Here are some of my newly painted figs for my clubs upcoming BoB campaign.  I will also be using these figs for a game i am helping run at historicon this year.  The Figs are brigade games and are really nice sculpts!  The flag bearer was an officer with his hand pointing in the opposite direction.  A quick hand swap, some brass rod and brass foil was used to create the banner.

Smashin'. Very, very cool. I came straight here after reading your note about them, and wasn't disappointed.

(Feel terrible about this, but unfortunately I now have to welcome "Death" into the esteemed ranks of the LAF Wrongly-Painted-Lee-Enfield-Club, of which I am currently chairman. Don't feel bad, you are in good company. It has become something of a LAF tradition to balls up the painting of our Lees (and Lebels, and Mausers)).  :)

Is that any relation to the "Sarge, which side is the belt feed" club ?

 Brilliant painting BTW. :)

The upper surface of the barrel is wood, not metal.

It's not important, but it is nice to know you are in a club of many, rather than a fool alone. I paint them correctly now, but I have not gone back to re-do all of the ones I did wrong.
