Eureka WFR Austrian Artillery
« on: May 06, 2010, 12:30:30 PM »
I finally got some paint on the Austrian guns. It looks like I'll need another coat of testors to kill the shine, but other than that these kaiserlicks are ready to throw Boney out of Italy!

The six-pound gun and crew.

The three-pounder and crew.

The officer and stack of equipment.

Finally the section in action.

As with the French guns Eureka has included the usual rammers, ammo chests, and other accountrements to make your bases look nicely cluttered. Once I get my French guns finished I'll be ordering another pair of Austrian guns so I can have a section of each type.

"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Thanks men. I know I sound like a broken record, but these are a real joy to paint. I have four French guns (two battalion guns and two eight-pounders) with gear and Boney himself waiting in the wings. I have to hurry to beat the horde of Russians and cossacks due in July! Rob tells me there will be over 100 codes worth hitting then!

Ah the "Queen of the Battlefield," you can never have enough artillery. Beautiful work.
