Has any one ordered from them recantly? i am trying to find a way to contact them.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Just out of curiosity....are you getting into Star Mogul?

The game and minis have always been some of my favorite, but sadly it's never really caught on too greatly.

You were on the AFG forums for a bit, weren't you?

I have about three salvage gangs based and ready to paint, and I want to play a game of Star Mogul so badly I'd probably break laws just to get a chance to. Not important laws, you understand - maybe just the sorts of laws that politicians are usually quite happy to accept large sums of money to violate. Just those ones.
As for ordering from Alpha Forge Games - I've always had good experiences. Good communication, prompt shipping, nice minis - what more could you ask for?

I'm just about to venture out with a salvage crew... I just have to figure out which minis from my existing collection I can use as proxies for the time being - no time or money for more new mini-painting projects right now  ;)
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

I hear ya Hawkeye!  And, considering I'm only in Iowa, we are close to each other geographically speaking.  Maybe we should meet in say....Missouri!!!

So close, yet so far away!

I've got enough completed Star Mogul minis for 2 complete human salvage teams.  Most of my Mephalians are at least based and primed.  Same with my Asteroid Miners.

BTW...I don't want to discourage any folks from buying from AFG, but if you are strapped for cash and willing to trade other minis, I've got lots of spares.

For quite some time I had a deal with Rod, the creator.  I'd paint up the new minis, and he'd give me several free for each one.  He was more than generous with them.  I sure wish he'd come back to the mini-world, he's a great guy.

Yep, I was pretty active for a bit before things started to die down. Got all the books when I was in Iraq, and most of my gaming stuff and supplies have been in storage tell recently.
seeing ever one make salvage crews inspired me to pull my stuff out.
Got smoogers and just ordered up stuff to finish up my salvage crew "Green Mushroom Salvage" , start up a merc/salvage/freebooter pirate group call "White Devil securities'" and a Hydrasoran exial group. lots of cash spent lol.

What happend to Rod?

The last time I spoke with him (via E-mail) he had moved back to the UK and started up a computer repair business.  That's been a while back now.   Trying to support a family with a small tabletop gameline has got to be nearly impossible, so it's understandable.  I hope at some point he rejoins us, even just as a hobbyist.

yeah I can understand that, still it was a great concept for a game. Mans got some good ideas. I hope all is well with him and that he rears his head some day soon.  :)

I was thinking the same thing, Supervike - Kansas and Iowa are not that far away....

The concept behind the game is great, and I love the idea of taking the currently very relevant salvaging/recycling issue and transferring into space into a miniatures game. Sheer brilliance! I finish teaching and grading in a week or so, and my plan is to paint. Star Mogul is top of the list!
