I don't think they are diffcult to paint, I just don't enjoy painting them, which isn't quite the same thing.  :)

Those look really smashing, Ray. Top job.

Thanks all... though I'm probably a real pain posting these photos for folks who aren't into history or Napoleonics...  lol

Anyway...

Here is my new unit of Chasseurs:

Not so bad.  A lot more difficult to paint than I initially thought and the green uniforms are probably a tad too dark.

And here are some reinforcements I just based at the same time:

NOTE:  The following miniatures were painted by Ron Redworth

Bavarian Line Infantry

Hungarian Grenzers

And believe it or not... I actually have a plan!   :D

Though it is changing all the time.

Next up are French lancers.   8)

My inner Gronard jost surfaced - has to doubloe-check that your frenchies were 'early' wars (otherwise the Bavariand should have red facings  ;)  )

Just joking.... I think....  lol

No, that is most definitely not the case. No not stop, Ray. We need more people who actually do things and then post pictures, as that is the spirit of the LAF. Too much bullshit, waffle and chit-chat around here of late, and not enough of this kind of thing. So keep it up, please.

I'll be mixing units from different periods, though I'm trying to keep them as close to 1806-09 as I can.

It's not a big deal to me.

For example, my next unit, French Lancers, are definitely out of the period, but they look nice.    ;)

Hadn't noticed that, actually...  ::)

Wow! I like them a lot… especially the infantry… lol

I’m joking, they ALL look great. In fact both of your figures and those painted by Ron have very similar style.

P.S.; I’ve painted an horse with a front left leg and a back right leg white… is it wrong? You did write that horse’s legs should be regard as pair (back/front rather than left/right) :?
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

Indeed, and because of that I commissioned him to do the yeomen's work with all the infantry.

Always exceptions, but generally, yes the pairs should be thought of in terms of front and back not left and right.  One of the pairs should be the same.  So I would recommend painting the left back leg or right front leg white and then you will be fine.  Three white socks is pretty common.
