Beautiful work as ever from eBob!

Hmm, got the jungle terrain and plenty of uniform reference material.

Just might have to veto my "non-20thC" games rule, buy the Ganesha Games modern rules and have a go at Nam  :D

Are there any suitable wocka-wockas around for 28mm? The cheaper the better!

I find myself in much the same situation.

Platoon, Boys From Company C, Apocalypse Now, Full Metal Jacket......so many skirmish possibilities.....

I support the Baker Company suggestion, those are decently priced and sculpted figures (any quirks won't be noticeable once they are placed inside).

As for the chopper kits, I've heard that the UH-1 Gunship from Revell (ex-Monogram) is a pretty poor kit nowadays - apparently some issues with the moulds being worn out. Can anybody confirm or disprove that?

I'll probably go for "riverine insertion" - I've always wanted to build a PBR in 28mm.

the monogram one is a bit difficult to assemble, but not too hard. i have a couple :)

afaik the italeri carabineri UH-1D is a rebox of the older UH-1D slick.
gonna open my box and have a look if i can remeber when i get home tonight :)

Hot diggity! I've had their website bookmarked for years and visit every few months, at least for the eye candy, but never noticed those. Correct me if I'm wrong, but they don't do a PBR, just the Tango and the Monitor, right?

Are you sure you are not confusing that with Revell's 1967 Swift Boat kit? I couldn't find any reference to a PBR, although my Google-Fu ain't what it used to be.

after trying to relocate the model i'm not so sure what i remember wasnt a scratchbuild..
there seems to be a civilian vessel that's convertable to the riverine PBR with a bit of patience.

they also made the RAGboat

Those Ebob figures are rather tasty. Wonder if they will make Jim Hale and I happy by producing some 1965 era USMC with M-14s. I can see some of the LRRPs popping up in a Colombian setting.
