NW army Ataman SN Bulak-Balakhovich Original Photos

For anyone interested in the NW Army here are two very interesting photo galleries of just about the only mounted troops in the White NW army taken in 1919 during the campaign for Petrograd (Interesting to note the Soviet prisoners in the background of one picture). The uniforms are an interesting mix of Cossack attire and regular Cavalry uniforms and maybe some Red stuff? (they deserted as a unit from the Red army). Interestingly some do not wear pagoni. Very interesting to see the boy soldier with a Madsen LMG - wish some manufacturer would produce one - as by all accounts they were as common as
the Lewis gun.
