Either my google fu is crap, or google is crap. I can't find any decent images at all.

Any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated  :D

James,
If you have the names of individual forts you might try looking them up in the US National Register of Historic Places.  The NR requires measured drawings of extent structures and historical background information that would probably include images.  When I have worked on nominations they have been very demanding.  You can access the NR through the US National Park Service web page.

Thanks for the advice, I shall cetainly give it a go but I'm also looking for more generic forts and works, small simple blockhouses and the like.

Posted this link in another thread a while back but guess it's worth repeating.  Some nice CGI renderings of Fort Laurens, Ohio (Nov.1778-Aug.1779).  Might give you some ideas.

For block houses and the such like, a while back Aaron pointed me to this link:

http://usgwarchives.net/pa/1pa/1picts/frontierforts/frontierforts.htm

Am not sure how many are F&IW and how many are AWI but not a lot of difference, surely?

The link was originally posted by Aaron in this thread here:

Welcome to 18th C America .....  I only meant to buy a few minis and it's been a slippery slope to must-have-it-itis!
My LAF Gallery is HERE

Many thanks for all your input gentlemen  :) I now have nearly 130 images of forts, camps, seige works, plans etc. Should keep me going for a fair bit  :D

I have now started work on a small blockhouse complex, just a sneak couple of photos for now, I'll make a proper thread when I have more to show.

The blockhouse will be two stories (with a jetty) and have firing slits, the 'cookhouse' is just an ancillery building and makes the whole thing look a bit more involved.

cheers
