Akula, you said a mouthful there...but I heartily agree.

Yes, Hasslefree tend to be on the more spendy side (not compared to GW) but the quality is absolutely worth it.

Didn't mean to rant on (and certainly no offense meant), but its a subject that I've begun to take more than a passing interest in.

No, actually, they're not that noticeably smaller. Slightly, but not so much as to make them incompatible, and I'm fussy about these things  :)

I do have some HF figures which are way to titchy to use with Copplestone's FW stuff, but the Hazmats are a pretty good fit.

Not at all, we are passionate about our little hobby, and nobody should tell us not to be!

Without passion, this hobby would be a chore...

Different sculptor.

I didn't realize they were available.  Must buy some.

quality comes with a price.

 :)

£4/£4.50 a figure, when you are only going to buy a handful at a time, and the level of sculpting AND casting is so high, is IMHO value for money

No argument from me normally, I've made that argument on many occasions. I own several Hasslefree figures and am perfectly happy with them. The new ones however I want several of each to make a private security group. Had they been £3 each I'd have bought them, as I will be buying the Hazmat guys, but £4 is out of my budget for anything other than single figures.
So many projects..... so little time.......

I saw them at Triples, but couldn't afford them after already spending £30.00 on their stuff  lol That reminds me, I must have a go at painting their Tardis soon.

Hasslefree are going to UK Games Expo, so I'll try and save up and buy some of these there.

You are right, of course. My apologies!

Whoever sculpted it, it's still a beautiful little model and I'd recommend it to any Who fan  :)

My players realized that when my repainted Heroclix AIM Agents show up... they're HAZMAT.

I seem to usually go with the cheap.... er... more frugal way of doing things.

Yes, I also prefer "frugal" for the masses but I'm happy to pay a bit extra for characters, monsters, elite troopers etc.

Except, of course, it's not a TARDIS, but a Glaswegian Police Box, like the ones in Queen Street station and on Buchanan Street.  No trademark infringement there, no sir.  That's why the front door panels are quite different from anything the BBC has ever used.

Quite, it's like the police box no more than 50 yeards from Ian's workshop actually! ;)
