Desert Base Accessories?
« on: May 31, 2010, 12:58:45 PM »
Hey, Gang -

Is anyone aware of a manufacturer who makes small scenic elements that would be appropriate for desert bases? I'm talking about Cacti, tiny little scorpions, desert plants, stuff like that. They've got to be pretty small as I intend them for a set of 30mm display bases.

Hi,

try these ones, I´ve just bought a set for my use.

megaminiatures also got some cacti and maybe some other useful things...of course the scorpions and snakes might be a little to big

reaper also has got some birds e.g. falcons and vultures in the Familiar pack series.

Thanks, Opa! That's a huge help.

I found the Pegasus set on eBay at a reasonable price, as well as the Mega-Minis set and a couple of other types.

For cheap, you can't beat cake decorations.....

Not as high quality as Pegasus, and soft plastic not hard styrene, but look at those prices.

Another excellent suggestion. Keep 'em comin'! :)

(That cake decorating site also has Greek and Roman pillars/columns for you terrain enthusiasts..).

The only drawback to cake decorating sites can be postage. I think I got nailed for $10 by the site linked to for about $5 worth of test items. still, I did get the Kung Fu Panda cake topper for my son's birthday so it was worth it in the end.  ;)

If you have any friends who play undead armies they might have some spare plastic bones to leave bleaching under the hot desert sun.
