Very nice.

Though the black uniforms are painted in a style much more subdued than I have become accustomed to in your work.

Still... they're cool.

I think Malcolm changes his mind about black paint now and then. As do I. I like this approach. Works very well when contrasted with the khakis and tans.

While normally I wouldn't say anything against Orctrader's work, as it is always of the highest order; personally I think this approach to black works far better than those stark little light grey lines that we have become used to. I guess that is just a matter of taste, though.

Yes, through a bit of miniature trading we've spit each other in the eye and revealed our first names. :)

Even Plynkes has been revealed to us as a 'real person' now although upon seeing him I still nurture the suspicion that he is put together from corpses of dead wargamers.  :)

Thanks chaps.

Answers to questions/comments.

Yes, a commission/project.  Converted – the bonnets changed into berets.

Black? Actually, the uniforms are blue/black, the webbing is black leather and the puttees are “washed out” black.  I do vary my methods, usually on a whim, but on this occasion specific requests were made.

Orctrader is a real person? Just a rumour.

Paints units? Yes, a few.  But then again, too few to mention...

Glad you like them.  Interesting and fun to convert and paint.
