New poundstore find: Tanker
« on: May 30, 2010, 07:23:34 PM »
Well having a look around a really cheesy pound store in town, (called worth it!) and found this:

Look very closer as the sticker price....

Yes 39p!!!!! :o

Looked really rough and thought it would only be worth wrecking but with potential so bought one and spent only 45mins cleaning, filing and sanding the chassis, body and all the removable bits. Added some bullet holes, removed the centre windscreen pillar and then undercoated and dry fitted as is:

Very servicable indeed for lots of genre's I think this one is going post apoc, about to break out the checkerplate as we speak! Will get a few more at least. The tanker on the back's worth the 39p and I've an idea for a dirty sc-fi and even a fallout version (grav).

Any chance of a comparison pic next to a figure?

Loves you too ducky!

;)

It's cheap far eastern tat but with a bit of effort it can become very usable. At 39p each and so far about 45mins of work I ain't complaining. :D

Good stuff you got there. You could do a spilt toxic tanker for your zombie table?

If you want one it'll be £20... erm seriously if anyone in the uk wants one PM me, it'll be 39p plus postage and packing.

I'm gonna get a few more just for the tanks, be great for static gas or other liquid containers in an industrial setting. Plus you can get containers separate from a number of people, I expect one will fit straight on.

Some of these cheap store toy trucks are great, one of my Gorkamorka opponents has made his entire mob from them and I use a couple of "wrecked" ones for Necromunda terrain.
