A must for any VSF,  Weird War 2, or Atomic Horror style campaign.  Here is the link:

This one has come up before, and while it is a nice idea unfortunately that little scrap you see is all you can make. A nice novelty once or twice, but more variety is needed to make it a useful tool.

I find it very useful as an ongoing schtick in a VSF campaign.  I have often given the players exactly what you say, a scrap of newspaper, at the beginning of an adventure, as a clue or lead-in to what is going on.  Very seldom is an entire article really necessary.  YMMV.

Agreed. I don't want to make an entire newspaper either. I just find it a bit frustrating that every clipping will look exactly the same. It would be nice to be able to have a different layout, a picture or something, not just always that same top left-hand corner of the paper.

It is a nice tool, don't get me wrong, I just find the options too limited to be useful personally, after the first use or two.

Remeber that Chtulu gadget site that was linked to some time ago? They have a set of very cool vintage newspaper and headline fonts with which you can make your own extended layouts.

Make sure you save the image, and put it on imageshack or something.

It doesn't last that long.

 lol

I had this in my Bookmarks when my old machine died at the end of last year - never could find it again!

Thanks for posting it - it is a bit of a one-trick pony, but it's a good trick and can be used a couple of times at least I reckon.

I did once a newspaper for our participation game at Crisis (where I distributed it dressed up as a newsboy and shouting "Extra"  lol) and a headline for a RPG game - not that difficult if You have the stories.

Didn't some member here have a nwewspaper for his Old west town?
