10mm Pike block
« on: June 04, 2010, 05:24:21 PM »

I think they look great at this scale and give the proper amount of mass without having to paint too many. The figs are the much maligned Old Glory. They were fun to paint. Now, on to the shot sleeves.

I like them.

And yes, I must admit I am a bit of a detractor of OG 28s - just had too many duff figures off them I'm afraid.

But maybe 10mm is their strength, because these look great.  :)

Awesome! Great job. What rules are you planning to use?

Ahhhh, the big question, what rules? I've posted that very question on this forum before. I've got one more playtest for another set of rules, but right now I think I'm using the "Victory without Quarter" rules. They're closest to my style of play.
Ofcourse scale was an experiment, too. I'm also doing it in 28mm:

The effect en-masse is superb and I'm looking forward to see the whole regiment fielded.

I have quite a few OG15s Napoleonic and ACW figures and they really are quite good. Not up to AB standards, but as good as most other decent ranges in this scale. I think it must just be the 28mm stuff that suffers from the wildly variable quality.

I've tried requesting a set from Mr Harrison, but never got a reply  :(

I know they are quite popular and I'd like to try them with my 28mm stuff. If anyone knows how to (legally) get a copy I'd be very grateful.

Pm me your address and I will photocopy my set and post them to you, Dave lost the original PDF when his PC crashed so we can't email them.
