Hi folks,
My friend tricked me into starting with SBH. Since I'm taking care of my daughter now for 3 months I got some spare time to sort out some gaming, and of course painting.
My iniatial take on this project was that I should be able to paint up at least two minis within an hour. After timing myself (and planning where to wash and not) I clocked in at 23 minutes give or take 2 minutes. The basic concept of the painting is "cheat for effect", i.e strong highlights with very little effort involved.
The base is not really finished yet. I need to find some old basing stuff that's lost in closet space for the moment.
Oh yeah, the mini is also a small homage to good old fantasy miniatures. Hence the green painted base and half-hearted with the yellow (it should be going from orange to white, now its just brownish to bonewhite).
Enough of introductions, here's the mini.

Thanks!
The model's from Mantic Games, picked it up in the local store for 13 euros for a box of ten (plastic).

Very nice indeed! Your "cheating" method of painting works very well, especially when you need to get them done fast.

I have a couple of the Mantic free sample Ghouls and they are lovely figures. Lots of potential uses, not just in fantasy games but VSF, horror etc too.

I'll have to look at getting some of their skeletons, as they are always nice to have in fantasy scenarios.

I had the mantic ghouls out with some of the plastic GW flagellants and they look the same size (except the flagellants have oversized hands), there should be some potential to swap bits for more variety (some of the flagellant heads would work well for ghouls too I think).

Thanks y'all for the kind response!
The other batch of 9 skellies are on their way. And now, since my better half is home, I'll be able to look for that good ol' basing material :)
Hopefully the whole batch will be finished for wednesday. I'll update as soon as I can.

That's a very nice painting style especially for a quick job.

Looks good - doubly so given he was a quickie!

I haven't picked up any of the Mantic figures yet - but I am planning to at some point.

I've now painted my whole amazingly large force!
Its seven minis, so I can't really say that I broke a sweat...

More pictures tomorrow, and hopefully some where the minis are actually looking towards the camera. Kids these days...

I like these figures better for seeing your painted examples, Silversixx.  Next time I work on undead, I think I will try my hand at some.

Thanks again for sharing!

Thanks Mweaver!
More skellies. I got two other pics to do, and I'm trying a new way to quick extract, which works okey in some places and not at all in some other...

These look pretty cool. I was thinking of doing a few plastic SOBAH forces using GW boxes, but perhaps I could do a couple of mantic ones.
