That's it, go ahead "enjoy your hobby" but know that no deed goes unseen or unrecorded in the giant clipboard and that one day, like all men, you will stand before the great bearded man in the anorak, who shall call to account, every nut, every, button, every tunic facing and every mispainted rifle. He will tally and then intone your sins (in a curiously high pitched nasal acent) and ye shall be cast into the pit of collectible trading cards, Star Wars memorabilia and 1980s style GW products.

There is yet time for those who are prepared to be saved. Repent, I say, repent!

Whilst I agree with the sentiment you have expressed (and founf them very amusing!)- isn't finding out all this sometimes obscure information part of what our hobby is about?

Of course it is. Some seem to enjoy it more than others, that's all. :)

Start a Middle Earth thread over at Fantasy Adventures on the nature of balrogs and you shall promptly see me quote lengthy passages from memory and get very snippy with people who disagree with me.

It has almost become a tradition to paint Tommies in grayback orders in a shade which is,  as you put it, 'too blue'.

Christ, isn't the quilting on your anorak(s) getting a bit tight?

Is the anorak a sort of bluish-grey colour?

No, that's the colour of your face as the anorak stitching cuts into your vital organs  ;)

mines zzzzipped all the way up to the top!
 ;)
love the figs and the painting and the piccy's - keep em coming in any colours you like mate! its good to see other peoples work and hear how theyve tackled the paint job. never mind the gentle ribbing which, i have to say was aimed more at the rifle commenters than the original post.

please carry on any way you see fit.

now..about their boots.....

It appears as banter to the uninitiated, but it's actually all in code. I wouldn't try to translate it if I were you, some of the stuff here would put you off your dinner and no mistake...
