Transylvanian VSF - The Bridal Guard
« on: June 14, 2010, 11:43:44 AM »
Making use of Mancha's tasty Hinterland lady hussars to add a little glamour to my Transylvanian VSF contingent...

My previous Transylvanian VSF contingent is here: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=18808.0

The only slight problem being that the Copplestone figures are of course HUGE, whereas the Hinterland figures are very petite - a good 7mm height difference  :(

Still, they're all such nice figures, I shall just have to live with it!  :D

Saw these on SD also, unmistakenly yours ;)

Absolutely lovely and surely nice ladies like these should be on the petite side too :)

Excellent!

I would say they are about 500% better than some 95th rifles I've recently seen painted...  ;)

Those folks over at Steve Deans...  ::)

lol

Thanks Ray.
I'm afraid I can't say I disagree with you. (Not that I'm bitter  ;))
But beauty, as ever, is in the eye of the beholder, and fair enough.

Sooner or later, I shall be forced to paint something Napoleonic, which Steve himself suggests is the only reliable route to extra votes. And as I've been edged out of the last couple of competitions at the same stage by just a vote or two, that might be the difference I need  ;)

I honestly don't think I can paint much better than this, so it's going to have to be subject matter from now on!  :D

Well, I, for one, thank you for your choice of subject matter.  ;)  These look great!

Regarding their size, I really should compare them to other Hicks stuff from Musketeer, Brigade, etc.  I assume they're the same size, but I don't know for a fact.

Excellent.   :)  Loved these in the SD comp.  Even voted for them.  Lovely painting.

Nah, just paint what you like.  I do.   :)  Who cares about winning anyway.   ;)

Just keep painting what you like. I'm sure we'll all like them too :)
Very nice additions there to your forces. I really like the color scheme. Just wish I could afford to order a unit for myself right now  :(

Nutter!

You keep up painting units of high quality.

And it's VSF. Double bonus.
