Very nice!  I have two sun lamps on my desk too.  My boss sleeps there as well :) .

Welcome on board Dr.J.Ph.D

I cannot believe all you guys have such organised workbenches. Are those just for the camera? My workarea looks like a paint shop that has been hit by a tornado and then looted.

@ Dr. Zombie

I only post photos of my work area when it's in good order   lol.  Projects pile on top of projects and the mess builds.  A cleaning typically occurs when the discarded tools/paint/model parts start to encroach on the "working" part of the table and it interferes with work flow.  The camera remains in macro settings and focuses on miniatures when the place is a mess :).  A clean up usually get everything back to where it belongs so the "clean" windows happen; Just not for very long.  A cluttered bench keeps Goblyn away from the lamps and the paint water  :P.

Well in the spirit of full disclosure here I my work area. I have taken a picture as is. So no cheating and cleaning it up first.

Your candor is greater than mine DZ  :) .  Maybe in a couple days (I've posted before but in the intervening year my space has "evolved") but nothing wrecks my work area like terrain projects.  Rather than the bomb simile it's more like a cannonball mashing up my nice tall ship.  Balsa splinters and offcuts everywhere and my rotter of a cat ran off with the cap for my glue pot.

I have build myself a new workbench for my Styrodurcutter and a permanent setup for my airbrush. Here is a picture of my hobby room in the basement:

@tomrommel1

Oh that looks awesome!  I wish I had the space to separate painting from build/assembly.  The crossover between the two is where most of my messes and disorganization begin :) .

That was the case with my previous set up too , therefore I got rid of a sofa , which was in the room before but never used, to free some space for a second workbench.

Unless something is drying, I tend to clean up after after evey paint or build session. My OCD demands it. Usually the only thing on my desk are WIP.

I think getting dust (whether from cleaning up plastic on other projects or generally not touching something for weeks) means that I do the same (doing a major clean up right now actually).

I'm the same. Clean, clean, clean - as often as I can. All the paints go away, I keep a journal of what colours I use for reference in case I need more or whatever, like adding a unit or hopping between projects.

Dust is the bane of my existence and I clean frequently.
