vsf terrain
« on: June 20, 2010, 04:33:37 PM »
After reading lxg and coming across vsf ive always wanted to do a project based upon it so I have though of some buildings Including Buckingham palace, tower bridge (mite have under construction), British Museum, science museum, Baker street, Victorian steel works and also a mine.

I was also thinking of bringing Victorian literature into it as well and have a bombed library with some of the characters scattered around it such as phi leas Fogg taking off from the roof in his hot air balloon and the mad hatter and some giant mushrooms at the front of the library plus Dr Moreau with the three little pigs hybrids also Dorian grey with his painting or captain hook, little red riding hood, wolf, rat man plus lots more of literature characters.

The science museum I was thinking of having it related to gothic horror and have part of the front blew off with Dr Frankenstein and his lab exposed inside and plus the iron giant as well and little mermaid and the swamp thing in lab jars.

Upon Baker Street I was thinking along the lines of jack the ripper and Professor Moriarty along with the famous Detective Sherlock Holmes and his colleague Dr Watson along with some Victorian Police.

British museum I was thinking along the lines of dinosaur’s skeletons, The Mummy and British explorers such as Allan Quatermain.

I’ve always like the foundry Queen Victoria Empress of India figure with the shot gun and wanted to make a piece of terrain to included this figure so I thought of Buckingham palace and then I stumble upon ironclads Grenadier Guard which would also be perfect with this piece.

wud love to here your comments or ideas

Sounds good so far. Ambitious, but good.  ;)

You might want to look back through a few existing projects for more inspiration too :

Kew Gardens:

There are others too, including a docklands section.

Thomas

Your post just has a box with a red X in it. Although experimentally clicking on the red X takes one to the Flickr page. I tried reposting the link to the picture but I guess the forum software dosen't like Flickr.

'Strewth that's a BIG piece. It'll look amazing once done and be a bugger to store.

It will make a show stopping convention game I think.

Keep us posted.

Can't even see the cross :(

If you're posting a pic from Flickr, you need to go into 'All Sizes' and get the direct URL to the pic from the bottom, not the one it tells you to use. The forum software doesn't like that one.

I remembered that if you 'qoute' someone you get all the stuff in their post including anything you can't see :D

That's an impressive build!

Here's the pic...
