Especially the words "Police public call box".  :D

That's exactly what I was thinking! If you could add a tiny square TARDIS decal sized for the Fenris Resin Police Box that says:

"Police Telephone
       Free
for use of Public
  Pull to Open"

that would really help!

should not be a problem to add those...  Thanks for the ref pics...

Also just a side note. I'm thinking of offering a decal service, which essentially piggy backs decals on our current sheets.  We reprint a lot of sets regularly..and several of the sheets have empty space that can be utilized.

I have not figured out all the details yet, but you would essentially buy a section of decal paper for a quick one off print (or several)  The only catch is that the size available is usually more of a strip than a rectangular set. The set cost would only be around $5 to $10 for a one off including basic type setting.  If you don't have the vector art or need stuff drawn, it would of course be a little more.  Of course, trades would be welcome in certain cases...

Does anyone have dimensions for the 28mm Tardis?  A measurement of the flat area that can accept a decal or several decals would be appreciated.

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you . My Tardis has just materialised.... reading off my vernier gauge ..

Top "police" board 19.2 mm X  2.45 mm . in fact the black background is a bit shorter and thinner . 12.75 X 2.00 mm is about right .

Because the Glasgow police box has a slightly different panel arrangement on the entrance doors , where the white instruction panel should be , is a small door with a raised handle that needs shaving off . The panel measures 6.4 mm square , but the sign is narrower than that . the opposite panel is 4.7 X 9.3 mm if you want to include a St Johns cross .

Hope that helps . :D

updated UK police decal set.  Image is not to scale...

I need one kind volunteer that owns a 28mm tardis that I can send a file to for a size test --  you'll need a printer :)

Any takers?

I went to yer site yesterday to order the decals, but there didn't seem to be a "put in cart" button for the news decals?

Do UK police cars still have the 'electric jam sandwich' stripes down the side? Those would probably be useful if doing a UK set.

Yep looks like they do, I suppose that varies from force to force though.

A common alternative is a blue and yellow reflective chequerboard stripe down the side and blue and yellow chevrons on the back.

It's funny, you don't see many police cars about any more. I suppose they're all off making "fly on the wall" docutainment show's. ;)

Thanks Heldrak,

pdf file of the decals sent for test sizing.

Thorbjørn,
Sorry, not available yet  :'(

I sent out the SWAT decals last week, and should have them this weekend.  The others, plus the UK set would probably be in stock in about two weeks, once I send out the art.  I'll post an announce on the forum when they do get here though.

I expect the writing for the Tardis panel instructions will come out very nice.  The text/font on the Kubelwagen License plates is literally 2 points (>1mm)  and it came out very well on the final decals.  Now I just need some proper police cars in 1/56th   :D
