Refurbished shed [20mm]
« on: July 08, 2010, 04:26:07 PM »
You might remember I bought loads of second hand HO buildings last year, and this was one of em:

Though mine was in a considerable worse state (missing the entire back wall for starters, and it had been glued in a fashion that still amazes me....35 euro models get assembled with kiddy glue and without reading the instructions  )I think she's more of a looker now.

No lettering or stuff like that, fits more locations that way (and easily fixed with a custom sign to put next to it, though I was sorely tempted to paint UE on it  . And no lift off roof either, sorry. Colour.....well, I kinda miss this model I made once>

...which has since moved on to a better place.

So, less talk, more piccies then.

Enjoy!

Very nice, what sources do you have for your 20mm minis?

Duncan, for Modern 20mm figs I tend to buy Elhiem, Brittannia and Platoon 20. These are my favourites in means of quality and service, and if the rumor mill is up to date Elhiem will be expanding with more figs soon. Modern vehicles come as kits, and from SandS and Brittannia.

Pass by the Guild if you like, should be tons of ideas for you to pick over > http://www.guildwargamers.com/phpBB3/index.php

I'm always tempted by 20mm, have never dared take the plunge.

Nice structure. A shame it's just a big lump though. Would have been a nice place to hide something nasty inside.

A trade off between survivability and playability. Doing these with a lift off roof means a lot more work restructuring to make sure nothing breaks during transport. Besides, I have a laminator here so I can whip up a floorplan for it anytime. Still easy enough to hide nasties  :D
