gardening with Duhamel
« on: July 10, 2010, 09:32:36 AM »
hello

chairface asked me to do a tutorial on the vegetation on the bases. and as I still had a wood finish, I want to do.
first step: collect the material. I use many different spraying, some models of trade, and also things found. and I sprayed some mixtures, myself. one might think that a lot of flocking, but that's what I've accumulated over the years and there is not a year that I make miniature. for the rest I'll show you during the day with photos if I do not nap with pinacolada: it's too hot!  lol

I begin with the flowers, because I think that is what interests you most. I made with tissue paper. at first I tore small pieces, then I cut confetti pieces with a cookie. for the rest everything is Image

Thanks for the tutorial. I'll be putting a Victorian pleasure garden together soon so this will help.

The confetti flowers are simple, yet make a great impact.  Top notch idea!

Very cool thread, duhamel. We have not covered flowers and stuff this way much before.

One comment I'd like to make is that I think that sponge material for tree foliage comes out too uni-coloured to look natural. I often sprinkle a bit of course, light green flock on top to mix things up a bit.
