Anyone added crews to the Halo 3 Warthog
« on: July 09, 2010, 06:13:23 PM »
Just took delivery of a Halo 3 Warthog model off ebay today. Anyone added crew to one of these. My models are the Copplestone / em4 range and it would be cool to convert some crew, just looking for inspiration before I start hacking models apart.

Whilst those examples are terrific, I'd also like to see some Copplestone conversion ideas. Are there any suitable figures in the Future Wars or Em4 ranges which would make good seated crew. Even suitable seated legs from other ranges, which could be added to the FW torsoes and given the right bits of leg armour etc would be good. I can't remember seeing any, but could easily have missed them. Sadly the Cadians and Halo trooper conversions wouldn't look right in amongst the Copplestone ranges.

I don't want to start working on my brace of Warthogs without having suitable crew, as my figures are also Copplestones.

Using only the legs of the sentinel crew you could easily attach them to any FW body you deem appropriate and simply GS some knee guards and crotch pad onto the legs and it will look fine. You'll also have to sculpt on or find arms to use because while there are a number of torsos who's arms can easily be removed, there are none with arms useful for the driver or gunner. The passenger should be pretty easy though.

Assuming that GW figures are often larger than other "28s" I was wondering if they would fit together with Copplestones without looking silly. The arms aren't a problem, as I'm not too bothered about the crew being in "driving" poses, or actively firing the gun. "Sitting around waiting to go into action" poses would do.

If they do fit, that would be an excellent solution, given their easy availabilty  :D

The Cadian plastics and most of the officers are 28mm to the eye.
So many projects..... so little time.......
