A little commission I've just finished
« on: July 10, 2010, 08:46:03 PM »
This was quite a nice little peice to make, plenty of reference and a chance to do some 'real' gothic architecture as opposed to the GW stuff.

It is of Saint Elenors Cross near Northampton, google it for more info because I can't remember it off the top of my head  ::)

Any, enjoy  :D

cheers

James

Brilliant James.

Saw this earlier on Painterman's blog. http://je-lay-emprins.blogspot.com/

A cracking centrepiece for any game.

I'm almost tempted to ask how much for one myself...  ;)

Very impressive.  Is it laser cut card?  If so it must have required a fair amount of planning to get the pieces right!
My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2025 = 74
(2024 = 38; 2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

Thanks chaps  :)

That was quick, he only got it yesterday  :) It looks better in his photos than mine though

Well Richard, you know where to come  ;)

It's laser cut perspex in varying layers and I drew it in Autocad first to make sure it worked.

cheers

All my laser cutting is done at my place of work (I'm an architectural modelmaker) in my spare time, which at the moment isn't a lot as it seems every single bloody architect in London wants a model for this month. Where were they during the summer  ???

cheers

Nice work JB. Love the fine detail around the arch tops.

Saw this on Paintermans site too, nice to see some close ups.

Splendid piece of work, I'm sure it will have attracted some attention at Northampton the weekend.
