Thematic Expansion of the Weird Wars Board

(1/2) > >>

Westfalia Chris:
Hi folks,

following an increase in "Weird War" approaches to established "historical" periods, we have decided to clean up our act and widen the scope of the Weird War II board.

As of today, it is called the "Weird Wars" board, and will encompass all non-historical approaches to 20th-century warfare.

This specifically includes, but is not limited to:

* World War One, including all "Ghosts of Gallipoli", "Robots Knights of the Kaiser", and that "Biggles" flick with the sonic gun.
* World War Two, including Gear Krieg, Incursion/Secrets of the Third Reich, AEWW2, Projekt X and all the other 3W2 games I may have forgotten to mention.
* "Edwardian SF", including "Invasion" literature, should also be posted here. So any "Invasion of 1910" or "Riddle of the Sands" would be welcome.
Generally, if you have a topic that has dominating elements of Superscience, Paranormal, Mystical and is set in a war of the 20th century, it should be posted here and kept from the (more) "historical" 20th century boards (WW1, Interwar, Back of Beyond, WW2).

Victorian Science Fiction (VSF), however, has its own board, so use it. Similarly, if you do a Mobster Game with Giant Robots set in 1920s' Chicago, use the Pulp Board. "Spy Games" in a James Bond vein should go to Other Adventures.

You will not be "punished" if it doesn't fit - worst case, the moderators will move the topic to a more appropriate board, but you will save us some work and the other users irritation and/or disappointment by thinking carefully about where you post it.

The other rules, notably the "Symbol Rules" use, remain in effect.

Apart from that, I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of nice new stuff. :)

This is a bad idea.

Let me explain.

I'm the type of guy that cannot 'window shop'.  For instance, I avoid Car dealerships at all costs.  If I start looking, then I start wanting...the next thing I know my wallet is open and I'm buying!

Egads, think of my poor wife.  I stay out of those other threads to avoid temptation, yet it is following me here!

 ;D

They can "Come in from the cold" and be on 'Post-War and Modern', providing of course that they can offer the correct response to the recognition phrase and be discreet.

Question: would this board be the correct one for All Quiet on the Martian Front?

Think War of the worlds martian tripods' second invasion of earth, ca 1910.
