The eagle is usually shown as metal, along with the badge and belt buckle. One of the problems with Dredd is that different artists and colourists have felt free to use their artistic freedom when rendering JD.  That's not a problem really.  My personal preference is the black helmet and uniform, green boots, gloves, and elbow pad, and the left shoulder pad in yellow.  However, if you go with dark blue for the uniform and a yellow elbow pad that is OK as well as 2000 AD artists can't even agree on the colour!

Haven't the uniforms become blue now as a rule? Purely based on the judges being referred to as 'blues' in a backup strip in last month's megazine (although I suppose that only neccesarily means that that particular writer thinks they're blue, as opposed to a rule...)

I've had a Mongoose judge sitting on my worktable for he last week for when I get the mental surplus to clean it up... then you go posting these, and I have NO desire to start on it  :(  lol

Well, I have a couple of other projects that need attention, anyway - and the colour guide is helpful - I'll probably go get those green foundations based on it (the other colours and washes I have, although Midnight Blue is OOP, iircc, but then a 3/2 mix of Regal Blue and black comes very close).
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Great looking bunch of Judges JB.  The group shot is my favorite.  Looks like they're ready to go clear a city block.  :)
