If you go re-animating a thread which lay dormant for more than two years, there just *might* be the chance that the pics originally associated with it have dropped off the web. For whatever reason.

true, but the site is still online.

Isn't the member on board anymore?

OK, I can put it somehow different:
"Oh, the thread is 2 years old, but I am still curious to see the pictures, since the topic "armoured train" has become quite hot again. could You please reactivate the links?"  ;)

after all, the "see new replies..." engine still works right?

Dear former user

I have dug out some of the pics of my "foamboard and nails" armoured loco.

This was the original inspiration

And this model (not mine!)

Early stage construction...

Later

End stage with wheels attached...

Sad to say I did not think it was upto scratch and it has been consigned to the Bin!

Lucky I still have the pics.

Is there any guidance on the longevity required on LAF?

Cheers

Hope you like them!

Thanks former user, as I said, it wasn't upto the standard I had set myself. :-[

Who knows maybe I'll try again one of these days.

I had a lot of builds "not up to my standard", but I kept them and modified them

so I learned a lot about my mistakes - but anyone with his own approach :)
