A good start is new "Avengers" expansion... Try all the minis from the "Invaders" team... Captain America, Bucky, Union Jack, Toro, Spitfire...

There's also a whole bunch of WW2 style soldiers too.

DC Heroclicks has the Easy Company Soldiers, Medics and Sgt. Rock.  Lobster Johnson from the Indyclix set makes a great WW2 Pilot.

I have the one with the pistol currently, but there is no reason that with a few head and weapon swaps you could have an entire squadron, minus Lady Blackhawk of course.

Here's my two conversions using Lobster Johnson.  On both I carefuly trimmed off the Lobster Symbol on his Jacket.  The first one is just a re-paint, the second has a head swap with Dr Strange.

Excellent conversions! They work well with any pulp game.

Hey all,

Just joined up and thought I'd throw in some more info for you.

Of the DC characters available in Heroclix, the following are WWII era

* Sandman
* Starman
* Green Lantern
* Flash ( hermes hat )
* Hawkman and Hawkwoman
* Johnny Thunder
* Wildcat
* Black Canary ( older version )
* Vigilane
* Dr Fate - mail away figure.
* Shade
* Mr Mind ( green bug in a bottle - very cool )

Hope that helps.

Cheers,

Bubba242

I've never been much interested in clicky minis, but these look as if they are quite nice sculpts. Has anyone got a picture where these guys are next to 'real' minis.
What kind of plastic are they made of? I have a Star Wars Promo Clone Trooper and it is made out of 'bendy' plastic, so it's of limited use IMO even after conversion and a repaint.
