A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

The Carlist's are painted to represent the Parish of St Martin, on the island of Jersey (in the Channel Islands) and will be part of the Anglican League.  I wanted some figures to stand out a bit, and use a splash of colour for the religious over-tures.  It also helps that the Empress range has an excellent standard bearer in the Carlist range with a crucifix.  I guess the great thing about a ficitonal war (with a historical basing) is that it gives you some licence to push the boundaries a bit.

Sam, the truck is just amazing and I cant wait to see it in action trying to support the militia on the island of Jersey.

Thanks for the clarification Paul!  When I had to open a new email account I wasn't able to save the email that you sent to me with the background info.

A few people have used the carlists as anglicans. In the fluff book it says the anglicans like to go a bit OTT on their uniforms.  lol

I love that dixon truck- I might have to get one of those- You never know when your army is going to need a truck load of beer! :P

Who makes those tough looking ladies in the front row? I thought I knew all the VBCW type minis, but I don't recognise them. :-*

They are Brigade Games Mobster Molls and Dixon Miniatures French Partisans.  I've got them pictured together by manufacturer in my blog if you are looking for more specifics.

Thanks. I found the models on the brigade website- I don't think any of the UK sellers carry that range, whcih is why I have never looked at them before. A lot of the Dixon partizans are carrying sten guns, whcih is not right for the '38 period, as far as I know.
