Plastic H-girders can be useful if you want drop-in doors - easy to replace intact, with damaged ones etc...

Top Tip... I've been leaving doors off because the Slug reckons they ruin working out LoS. Little sod... :-*

I only venture into the section on an occasion, am glad I did this time. Hope you don't mind but this idea (and possibly floor plan) are getting stolen, err borrowed. I need a hospital for my ATZ games and I like the idea of having it built in "Phases" that you can use separately or combined.

I am already sketching out an idea for Phase 2 that will have the cafeteria, additional ER Rooms, a morgue (possibly), along with an additional hallway leading to Phase 3 (while will be additional Patient Rooms, Offices, and the stair well {removable} leading to the second floor (stage 4-6, these will be additional Patient Rooms, an OR Theater and maybe an office or two). I may have a lab and dispensary in Phase 2 or 3, don't know yet.

Again I like this idea. Going to have to go purchase some foam core from the local dollar store, if not for the walls, then at least to get the basic floor dimensions figured out (the advantage of using cheap $1 foam core sheets, you don't have to worry about if you mess up to badly).

What a superb model. I have worked as a staff nurse in AED for four years (I have no problem with your model- its for playing games therefore its fantasy, IMHO) and I can honestly say that your attention to detail is fantastic. This looks like any AED I have ever seen. I was partciullay impressed by the white board with the patient details on, and with the white coat hanging on the back of the door.
When I model I geneally make my building, then paint it. Your technique, of using ready coloured and textured materials in novel and impressive. It reminds me of dolls houses. Generally I don't bother with interiors, but I am inspired by what you have created. Next time I mioght have to try something like yours for my KKBB board.
I am particularly impressed by the way you have added most of your details onto the walls, there by leaving your interiors uncluttered , and thus ideal for wargamming. Many people who build these dolls house type 'realistic' scenery often get carried away and add to much detail, and end up with soemthing that is more like a diaroma than a functioning piece of wargameing scenery. You appear to have found a happy medium.

Over all, well done- have a big slap on the back.  :-*
