When you have it, I would be very grateful if you could post a review or your impressions about it, as was looking too for a tugboat for my project.

Thanks!

Tsune

I will order the tugboat at the end of the month, and I will post a review of it as soon as it hit the mailbox.

What kind of project are you working on?

What about old fishing boats?  Any Innsmouth game must have creepy old trawlers and such, in assorted statesof disrepair.

BTW, Making creepy derilect wooden houses and shacks for Innsmouth is a fun and rewarding endeavor.  I recommend it for "beginner" scratchbuilders too (always better for the newbie to build a structure that is supposed to look crappy, I would think?)

Then again,  how many "My first scratchbuilt......" threads do we see here that belong in museums?  (many)   ;)

I have been looking for various fishing boats but i didn´t like the ones I found.  But I will continue "trawling" the net.  ;)

Yeah, not a whole lot out there.  (if there is and I just missed them, give me a headsup and link, anyone)

Building wooden fishing boats is at the high end on difficulty scratch building wise, I would think?  (lots of planking, lots of hull above the waterline)

(EDIT TO ADD: ... and I see Tsune posted this boat several hours ago. Serves me right for not reading the whole thread before posting! Ah well, still a nice looking boat!)

HLBS has a resin tugboat intended for 28mm; I just noticed it this evening while seeing if they'd done more limited re-releases of their dinosaurs. (they haven't)

Steam tugboat early to mid 20thC.

22cm long (~8.5 inches for the metric-impaired), so a substantial chunk of resin for 30UKP.

Hi,

I've always wanted a small tug to use in my Pulp games and after seeing this topic in the forum I decided to upload a few photos to show you the modifications dome in the Playmobil set 4295 (Schatztransport ruderboot).

By summin829 at 2010-09-07

First I removed the supports for the feets of the figures with a knife and then I put a balsa deck with boards carved with a pen. I also, remove the oars and flag supports

By summin829 at 2010-09-07

The bridge was made also with balsa. I tried to done it small for have the deck as cleared as possible but allowing that two figures can be placed side by side into it,

By summin829 at 2010-09-07

I think that the model is practical for any type of game, including Insmouth, of course. In this pic you can se a Brigade Games figure to show you the scale.

In the future I will use the same hull to make  a Sloop for my Pirates.

Regards,

Eladio
