Bundesarchive Picture Database

A good resource for German photos is their Federal Archive which is now online.

http://www.bild.bundesarchiv.de

 for example type "schutztruppe" in the search brings up 220 photos, most of which I have never seen before.  "deutsch-Ostafrika" works well too.


I need to get my own rocket battery now:

Are you sure? I'm pretty certain that image is in Osprey 'Essential Histories' no.381, The Prusso-Selenite War. Described as a method for supplying canned food to the German troops on the moon...
