Groovy...
« on: August 07, 2010, 06:01:28 PM »
Just finished Ash...what a brilliant sculpt by Kev! He almost painted himself. Lots of fun.

I converted his shotgun with a Hasslefree sawnoff as I wasn't a big fan of the pump action version. Although a bit short, it resembles Ash's Remmington more.
Also the first miniature I worked on with artists ink and they were a real blast. They made painting the trousers, leatherwork and boots a lot easier and faster than the way I usually do them. Also used a lot of Foundry paint on them...they are new to me and so far I like 'em!

Awesome!  8)

I would have said 'Groovy' but you did that yourself already. So how about a 'Hail to the king, baby'? ;D

I agree on the shotgun, but I would probably have used a couple of rods/tubes to elongate the barrels to a full S-Mart quality Boomstick.

I especially like your work on the metal of the chainsaw. Underneath all that Deadite blood hides a pretty cool NMM effect...

I will check out your Oakley/Ash when I get to do up mine for sure!
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...
