CyberSlums Ogre Enforcer Concept Art
« on: August 09, 2010, 05:41:31 AM »
Just wanted to let everyone get a view of our concept for our Ogre Enforcer as drawn by Dan Pare.

Additionally, you may have noticed that clicking on the images takes you to the new CyberSlums Blog. I will be updating this blog as regularly as possible with concept art, backstory, and work-in-progress greens. The blog is located HERE.

Don't forget about our Kickstarter Page and help us get the Ogre Enforcer sculpted by Jason Weibe.

Thanks for the interest.

Looking good but not too sure about the teeth.

anevilgiraffe: I've actually never seen any art associated with a Rogue Trader Ogryn, although I may have seen the models back in the day. We hope that our Ogre Enforcer model will make a great alternative for use with other game systems, so I'll take it as a compliment.

manic_miner: On the actual sculpt, the teeth should be more subtle though he is an Ogre after all.

The artist did the beret on his own, but I like the way it turned out. I may have one head sculpted with the beret, the second without, and I have debate whether or not to have the third head sculpted as a cyclops since they fall in pretty well with Ogres according to Mythology. Let me know what you all think.

Teef. I'm all about a mouthful of them for the lads, but it's not the subtlety, or lack there of, that stops me. I'd expect them a bit more squared off, and the mouth around them to be more visible.

Anyway, the tusks, if anything, should be more prominent compared to the rest, to my eyes.

We have to assume the concept art is a jump off point, but we're only sayin'...

Reminds me much more of shadowrun than 40k...

I'd be interested in seeing how it comes out.

Beast: Agreed 100%. The tusks will be more prominent and the other teeth will be more subtle. Less of Fangs look. The concept art is definately a start point and I look forward to seeing where Jason Weibe goes with it. I believe in allowing an artist to be an artist and take some liberty with the design.

Saw those teeth and immediately thought of Greed from Full Metal Alchemist -
