Painting guides for USMC and Imperial japanese army
« on: August 14, 2010, 12:24:31 AM »
I’m about to start on a pacific theater project using 20mm Britannia miniatures for both sides and I was wondering if anyone can point me to any painting guides that preferably use Vallejo paints.

A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

I had to scrap my 20mm Pacific plans and have a bunch of Britannia USMC and Japanese sitting around.  PM if you'd be interested in them.

There's a color guide for the Japanese army using Vallejo paints here:

This was the guide I used when I painted up some 1/72 Japanese, and they turned out well.

If I remember tight,  I went with what they call "Variant 2,"  painting the uniforms 882 Middlestone overall and then shading with a brown wash.
