OK, so it coils around the axle of the manifold that is housed in the small brick thing with the hole, I see
well I meant to install it outside anyway, it would be more VSF then too

Thanks chaps  :)

It's a good question  :) Firstly, that is the Sapporo logo (same font etc), using English. Secondly, New Victoria is primarily a British enclave it just so happens that I've been collecting Japanese figures and Nick hasn't got his thumb out of his backside to sort the British out  lol Thirdly, I already have the English style Victorian buildings and I'm expanding it as a range and this project is kind of the test bad. I do have some Japanese buildings from the period but they are for stall display and are needed else where  :)

It would possibly make it worse as the chain is quite thick and needs room to coil up over itself (if that makes sense). A wheel would hinder this.

@Michi - A counter weight is a great idea and I might change it for one next year as there is no way of stopping the car at the top at the moment  :?

I would like to add my thanks for all the support for this project over the years (started this four years ago  :o and I hope to continue until the entire planet is built  :D

cheers

James

I'm still confused (a state I reach easily, I admit): If New Victoria is British, why the Japanese flags and flower emblems then?  ;D

Or has it been "ceded"?  ;) :D

Ah, the chrysanthemum is the Imperial Japanese emblem and it's only on the Japanese neffs for now and as for the flags, I haven't printed out any British ones yet  lol

Did you have to weigh the cart down anything, Jim? To stay on the rails?

Ah ah ah! You won't be getting away as quick as that me fine chummy! Our agents (who will remain unnamed for their safety) have penetrated the territories and returned with these incriminating photos of your supposedly neutral, non-military installations.

"Orderly transfer of power" he says! "A show of goodwill" he says. I assure you sir that the Prime Minister will be hearing of these confabulations.

Don't take them off Jim, they look lovely anyway.

The railways were built by Japanese engineers/contractors (under appropriate guidance you understand) and therefore as a gesture of goodwill the British Protectorate allowed the railways to be decorated with the Japanese emblem and flags to adorn various key locations.
The Anglo/Japanese alliance remains as strong as ever, particularly as it has been noted that the Russians and Germans are now showing greater interest in increasing their current (small) territories on Mars.
