Fine looking tower in the making there  8)

I must admit that I was expecting some kind of sandbag emplacements on those balconies but the railings look good… bit fancy perhaps ;)

When the great city of New Victoria was first constructed war with the indigenous Sky Martian population was not expected or indeed even considered. In fact the Martians were in awe of the way in which the Earther Great Powers constructed and build the city in such a short period of time. Little thought was given to constructing defensive works in favour of style and the fashions of the times.
Taken from the journal of Professor Ebenezar Von Stypher-Dyke, (University of Vienna,)written during his travels on Mars 1888 -1889.

Oh woe betide those decisions taken back then, if only they had known better and not trusted their unrealistic Earther attitude of superioty of Mankind in face of indigenous Sky Martian population, easy to subjugate but quite impossible to rule as the later incidents were to show.

Excellent.  :)

I think with your permission Professor Augustus Schiffer-Brains will have to enter the scene now. We have a game at the weekend, he might have to make an appearance ;)

Thanks chaps  :)

Where's the railing from Jim?

you already know but for the masses, they are cut from 1mm white acrylic from a design stolen from the internet  :)

Is it going to form part of the walls at New Victoria?

Could be a mission objective for the big January game... ;D

Either or really, I'm going to make some wall additions so it can be placed in the wall but I've also got a spur so it can sit outside the walls. Maximum modularity for something so large  ;D

Excellent.  :)

Done a bit more for the train tonight whilst waiting for brick courses to dry...

I've copied the plastic kit and cut the various parts from different thickness acrylic with themiamin upshot being that I make can bogies of any length  :D

A steam crane for starters and a long bogie. The crane will become a kit eventually and the boiler on the back is the master that has already been moulded. The crane parts are still to be done and the gubbins has to be worked out for simplified casting. Below is the progress so far.

And here we have the normal bogie next to the original kit and next to the longer bogie.

Quite a few ideas for more train carriages included a walker transport...

cheers

James
