Thanks chaps  :)

It's not a bad idea but would need some thought. Doing a decent but simple train kit might go down well, hmmm...

At work today I was just there to answer the phone (along with a bit of 3d drawing) and big surprise, it didn't go off. On the off chance that this would happen I took the train bogies on to get the reminder parts done.

I also primed them black on the bottom as the plastic kit is black and they only get a drybrush of gun metal and some added rust.

Even though I simplified the details I'm quite pleased with the similarity. The first one is mine and the second is the plastic kit.

cheers

James

p.s. The awful yellow is my desk top which is light gathering acrylic  :)

Your replicas look even better than the prototype! Splendid indeed. I can hear a whistle blow in the distance...

Thanks peeps  :)

Your replicas look even better than the prototype!

Well, I wouldn't go as far as that, I think the wheels need a bit more work doing to them and the detail is a bit more simple but as it's all below what people will be looking at I'm sure they'll do  :)

So are you planning a lot if these?

Planning yes, building... Who knows  lol

Doesn't take you long does it  ::)

 lol
