Nope, oddly enough the platform makes perfect sense. I am going to cry shenanigans on idea theft though :) (besides, mine are prettier  :D )

It'd be easier to back up if he weren't so prolific! I want a laser!

These nefs are truly stunning :)

If I was being picky,  ;) I would suggest they nefs need some railing to stop the plucky Japanese falling overboard!

I can't wait to see a fleet action battle report!

Cheers
Fuzzy.

Thank you  :) The railings are left off for ease of gameplay and a battle report will be forthcoming...

Looking great  :-* :-* :-* :-*
Are you going to have a Japanese civil war with these because I don't think anyone else could compete with the amount of Nefs :o
Reaaly like the idea of the floating platform :-* :-* :-*
One thing about the gunboat though. The flag staff at the front wouldn't last very long :o

Not a civil war as I just bought the Foundry Imperial Chinese Army offer and I'm getting some Copplestone Russians  :D

Yeah, the mast at front, I might just move it to the upper deck but I was trying to keep a similar profile to the other ones.

Nope, oddly enough the platform makes perfect sense. I am going to cry shenanigans on idea theft though :) (besides, mine are prettier  :D )

 ;D ;D Mine doesn't have a balloon  ;D ;D

Thanks again chaps, more to come this weekend and something rather special next week  :o

cheers

James

Its just not fair!  :-* :-*

All I've managed this month is a bit of viaduct.

Something special eh? Tease us further.
Don't!

After Mr Bibbly's recent output "something special" is a very intriguing prospect  :)

Well, something special didn't happen obviously, but never mind  :)

For you perusal today I have some sample shots of a Martian canal (or part thereof). The water looks better in real life and there is enough of a hint of the walls and canal bed underneath.

The water will be removable so you can have a dry canal (for the dry season of course  ;) )

I've also done a sample of some Martian city walls but it's not good enough to post (and it's not in photobucket either  ;D ) but it will be soon I hope.

cheers

Lovely! The removeable water is a great idea. You could have mini-submarines or beasties sneaking about under the surface  8)

Very nice idea. :-* :-* :-*
Are the finished sections going to be longer?
I think it would look a bit strange with a join every 6' ???

I was thinking the same thing.  But then again I've never been to Mars.   ;)

Thanks chaps  :)

It is just a sample of what the effect will be like, the final versions will be 2' long and built into gaming boards.

The sides of it are 2" high to be the same as a gaming board.

Oh very nice, as GM said I like the removable water bit.

Before we know it you'll be building something to sail/steam along the canal.....  ;)
